Hi, I’m TRKKY, I’m an Old Skool Raver & I chuffin’ love dancin’
I mostly play durty 90 – 91 ‘Hardcore / Techno / House x-over, I’m obsessed with that sound/time when we all danced together to lotsa genres mixed together. I also play –
91 – 92 Hardcore Jungle Techno (sometimes with Nu-er Hardcore mixed in)
90 – 94 House / Progressive House / Tech House / with some Techno x-over
Techno
Hip House
Nu Skool Breaks / Hardcore Breaks
Classic House/Techno (87 on)
I’m a Raver 1st a DJ 2nd so I play Funky, Durty, Mental tunes that make you wanna dance & work your mind. Mostly Underground stuff, I don’t play Wall2Wall Anthems, I play a few but there’s 1000’s of other amazing tunes out there that need to be played. I’m usually dancing thru lots of my sets (except when on full concentration) so I call my shows Get Down with TRKKY 🙂

I went to a few raves in 1990 at the age of 19, a few more in ’91 & as many as possible in ’92 & ’93/4.
I started off loving some Hip-House, then Techno… Hardcore… Hardcore Jungle Techno to the end of ’92.
Our ‘local’ in 92 was Club Kinetic in Stoke-on-Trent & we went 2-4 times/month, I also went, well all over, inc. Fantazia, One Step Beyond & The Hacienda.
In early ’93 there was ‘arguments’ in our crew over a woman so 5 of us moved down South to Dorset, then something happened there & we were all split up. I ended up in Bournemth, on my own. I quickly made a few more friends who were into the Hardcore but Bournemth had gone full-on House, no worries, let’s dance to House
I was a regular at the Juicy Fruit nights at Madisson’s & also went to Succoso events on the pier
My best mate in B’mth started DJing House in 93, he’d take me with him when buying records; if I was dancing round the shop, he’d buy it (the record, not the shop)
I stopped in 94 due to Hard House but still went out dancing regularly
Then in 2014 I started going raving again to Old Skool style events (10 per year) & I’m still going now, I love it. Raver to the End
